Welcome to this web site of Life Tabernacle Pentecostal Church and to all the services and functions of this real apostolic, life changing Church located at 575 Bingham Ave. in Ozark, Al. Life Tabernacle Pentecostal Church is The Beacon of Truth of God’s Word to Ozark and Dale County, Alabama. We believe and teach the simple but necessary truths of genuine Bible Salvation which are: 1. Faith in and toward God Heb. 11:6 says: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” 2. Repentance from sin- Jesus said in Luke 13:3&5: “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Repentance is confessing our sins to God and then turning away from and forsaking sin. I John 1:9 tell us: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Prov. 28:13 says: “ He that covereth his sins shall not prosper, but who so confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy”. Repentance is the death and mortification of our sins and sinful past. 3. Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins- Water baptism by immersion is a necessary event in Biblical Salvation. Mark 16:16 says: “ He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” When a person dies naturally, the next event is burial in the graveyard. When a person dies spiritually (repents), the next event is burial by baptism in water in the name of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:1-4 says: “What shall we say then? (see Rom. 5:12-21) Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? (2) God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin (repentance), live any longer therein? (3) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? (4) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life”. 4. Receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. Rom. 6:4 (which we quoted above) tells us that Jesus Christ was raised up or resurrected from the grave by the glory of the Father and that we should be raised up to walk in newness of life. The experience that gives us this newness of like is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost which initially was given on the Day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2. In St. John 3:1-8, Jesus tells Nicodemus of this essential element of salvation. In Genesis 2:7, God “breathed into Adam’s nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” In St. John 20:22, Jesus “breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” The Day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2 was the birthday of the Church ,and every New Testament believer since that day has received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. In John 7:38-39 Jesus invites you: “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters, (39) But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.” After you and I have experienced the four simple steps of salvation, we have fulfilled the requirement of the Gospel as outlined by the Apostle Paul in I Corinthians 15:1-4. When we receive this ‘Born Again’ experience then we are privileged and empowered to live and walk in the ‘Wonderful World of Pentecostal’. It is to that world, manner of life, that I invite you. Welcome! Come on in ,to the exciting privileges and opportunities of “Living For God.’
